Trellidor Israel of Karmiel, the manufacturer of security bars and protection products and a subsidiary of the South African steel group Trellidor, has recently acquired the Damti Brothers greenhouse plant from Moshav Ahihud.

Hagai Damti, CEO of Trellidor, notes that the acquisition of Damti Brothers is valued at approximately USD 3 million, with part of the transaction carried out through a share swap.

Sales of security bars in Israel grew by about 28% in 2007, which led to the expansion of the company’s logistics center in Rosh HaAyin and of its existing plant. In light of the expansion of its export infrastructure, the company expects sales to grow by a further 20% or so in the coming year.
