Wet-pad cooling works by means of a system of pads made of special cellulose paper, through which water flows to cool them, while air is drawn through them continuously.
Combined with fans, the system helps lower the temperature and significantly raise the humidity inside the structure.
Depending on the type of crop, the most suitable temperature and the required humidity level, optimal growing conditions are created artificially, in direct relation to the weather conditions outside the greenhouse, the size of the greenhouse, the size of the pads and the number of fans.
The placement of the pad wall and of the fans depends on the wind direction, the type of crop and the solar radiation.
