Damti Brothers, part of the Trellidor Group, is proud to announce the completion of a large and significant project: a controlled research greenhouse at Tel Aviv University.
The project, which took about six months, was designed and executed by our company with close supervision by our engineers at every stage.
The project involved building a closed transgenic greenhouse measuring 14 x 27 meters, made of special 4 mm tempered glass, assembled using advanced Dutch technology and divided into isolated research compartments.
To meet the challenge of complete sealing that isolates the compartments from the surrounding environment, we implemented unique solutions such as double ceilings and advanced climate-control systems for regulating temperature, shading systems and air conditioning. Some compartments include a sunken planting bed, a wet pad, growing benches, air conditioners, heat lamps, and heating, cooling and chilling systems.
The researchers’ unique requirements called for solutions that met their exact needs. This is where the great advantage of the Trellidor Group came into play, drawing on the skills and combining the capabilities of the other subsidiaries in the group: the metal components were manufactured by Incomac, and the special doors were supplied by Trellidor.
We place great importance on collaboration between industry and academia, and we thank Tel Aviv University for the privilege of playing a significant part in advancing scientific research in Israel.
